1. Who We Are

This website, restaurants.kaneyoshi.us, is operated by Kaneyoshi Restaurants ("we", "us", "our"), located at 250 1st St B1, Los Angeles, CA 90012. We operate Sushi Kaneyoshi, Restaurant Ki, Bar Sawa, and Maison Kanatha.

This policy covers only this website. It does not cover our restaurants' physical locations, our social media accounts, or third-party sites we link to.

2. Personal Information We Collect

We collect very little. The categories of personally identifiable information collected through this website are:

a. Information you give us directly

The only form on this website is the newsletter signup. When you submit it, we store:

• Your email address.
• The page you signed up from (for example, "index" or "kaneyoshi").
• The date and time of your signup.
• A randomly generated unsubscribe token, so that you can opt out with one click.

We do not ask for your name, postal address, telephone number, date of birth, or any government identifier through this website, and we do not collect or process payment card information anywhere on this website.

b. Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Google Cloud) records standard request data, including your IP address, browser user-agent string, the page requested, and the time of the request. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and diagnosing technical faults.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are visited, from which country and device type, and for how long. See section 4.

c. Reservations are not collected here

All reservations are handled by SevenRooms on their own website. When you click a "Reserve on SevenRooms" link, you leave this website, and any information you enter there is collected by SevenRooms under their privacy policy, not ours. We never receive your payment details.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To send you the newsletter you asked for — news, events, and announcements from our restaurants.
• To honor your unsubscribe request and avoid emailing you again after you opt out.
• To operate, secure, and improve this website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our mailing list. We do not use your email address for advertising targeting on other platforms.

5. Third-Party Tracking Across Websites

Yes — third parties may collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use this website. Specifically, Google Analytics, YouTube, and Google Maps are operated by third parties that may set cookies or similar identifiers and may combine that data with information gathered on other sites they serve. We do not control this collection.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

6. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites you visit. There is currently no industry or legal standard for how websites must respond to these signals. This website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals and does not alter what it collects based on them. If a uniform standard is adopted, we will update this policy and our practices accordingly.

7. Cookies

This website does not set advertising cookies of its own. Cookies and similar storage on this site come from the third-party services listed in section 4 — principally Google Analytics, and YouTube and Google Maps when their embedded content loads. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will continue to work, though embedded video and maps may not function fully.

8. Reviewing, Changing, or Removing Your Information

The only personal information we hold about you is your newsletter subscription. You may:

• Unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter we send. This takes effect immediately and requires no account or password.
• Ask us what we hold, correct it, or delete it by emailing info@kaneyoshi.us with "Privacy Request" in the subject line, or by calling +1 (213) 277-2388.

Please send your request from the email address you subscribed with, so that we can locate the right record. We aim to respond within 30 days.

9. How Long We Keep It

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we retain the minimum record needed to make sure we do not email you again — your email address and the date you opted out. You can ask us to delete that record entirely using the contact details in section 8. Server logs are retained on a short rolling basis by our hosting provider.

10. Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Subscriber data is stored in an access-controlled database that is not reachable from the public internet, and signup submissions use parameterized queries to guard against injection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

This website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make a material change to this policy, we will post the revised policy at this same address, restaurants.kaneyoshi.us/privacy.html, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Where the change materially affects subscribers, we will also give notice in the newsletter itself. Please review this page periodically. Continued use of the website after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
